INCLUSION AND SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
At Kettlesing Felliscliffe, we value all children equally whatever their background may be. Our aim is to provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that does not discriminate on the grounds of gender, ethnicity, culture, religion or ability.
The school holds the Inclusion Quality Mark for the support we offer to our pupils. Any pupil with special educational needs (SEN) or learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LDD) will always be welcome at our school. In the event of a parent wishing to admit a child with such difficulties, then every effort is made to accommodate the needs of the pupil.
The school does all that it can to ensure equal access to the whole curriculum for all children with SEN and/or disabilities. This may be as simple as finding an alternative way to record an activity, or as in depth as having to organise a school visit with wheelchair access in mind. Such procedures are regularly updated in line with our Equality Scheme which is a legal requirement in all schools, along with meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.
The school does all that it can to ensure that all parts of the building are accessible to all children including those with special needs.
