The autumn term is well under way and we have already done so many exciting things including; sushi making, origami and a fantastic colour run on World Mental Health day. We still have so much more planned. We are going to use minecraft in our learning, we have enrichment week coming up and are learning about the Tudors and in particular two important women of power; Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots. Our new film literacy digital leaders are looking forward to teaching the other staff and children all about different camera shots and other new skills as well as testing out and installing new apps.
We are looking at 'Sound' in Science and will be doing lots of experiments and investigations. We are excited about continuing our English learning through our film literacy project. We have started our new whole class guided reading book - Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. We will be extending and consolidating our decimals and percentages work as well as problem solving skills in maths.
Please continue to practise your Space Mission Instant Recall Facts (SMIRFs) for 10 minutes a day, as you will become more proficient in your maths learning, once you have mastered your SMIRFs.
Further information about our learning this term can be found on the termly Curriculum Newsletter, which is on the About Us tab.
