Red Kites

We ended 2018 on a high winning the Sumdog competition for an impressive second year running. Our film literacy digital leaders are looking forward to continuing teaching the other staff and children all about different camera shots and other new skills they have learned.

We are looking at 'All living things' in Science including learning about famous scientists such as Carl Linnaeus and his binomial system of classification. We are excited about continuing our English learning through our film literacy project and we will be considering the important issue of the use of palm oil, writing persuasive letters and creating palm oil news reports. We are very much enjoying our new whole class guided reading book - Time Travelling with a Hamster.  We will be extending and consolidating our fractions and shape work as well as problem solving skills in maths.

Please continue to practise your Space Mission Instant Recall Facts (SMIRFs) for 10 minutes a day, as you will become more proficient in your maths learning, once you have mastered your SMIRFs.

Further information about our learning this term can be found on the termly Curriculum Newsletter, which is on the About Us tab.
