Our Year 5 and Year 6 children have an exciting morning of English, guided reading and maths. In the afternoons, the children enjoy exploring the wider curriculum. Our class is taught by Miss Miller and covered by Mrs Dickinson on a Wednesday morning.

This term our theme is Exploring Brazil. We will be looking at geographical location of Brazil and exploring the climate, features and eco-systems. We will be starting the English term with 'Journey to the River Sea' and embedding our knowledge and skills to creative descriptive writing.

Science takes us through 'Light'. We will be exploring how light travels, why a reflection is made, how shadows can change and light phenomena!

Please continue to practice times tables and spellings weekly. Our spelling test will still take place on a Monday morning this half term. I will check homework books and timestables rockstars weekly to check progress. Please ensure children are reading at least 3 times a week and recording this in their reading records, which must be signed by a parent/carer and myself weekly.

Let's have a a fantastic final term! Lots of exciting things to encounter before our summer break.
